Arlene Mary Preston was born Arlene Bruhn on Aug. 13, 1933, to Alfred & Hilda (Meyer) Bruhn in Cylinder, Iowa. She was baptized Sept. 10, 1933, and confirmed March 21, 1948 in the Lutheran faith at Fairville Church in Cylinder, Iowa.
On Jan. 4, 1952, Arlene married Richard Preston in Cylinder, and to them five children were born – Carolyn (deceased), Mickey, Pamela, Kenneth, and Gary. Richard & Arlene farmed in Ringsted until 1972 when they moved to Mesa, Arizona.
Arlene passed away on June 9, 2023. Arlene leaves her four children and spouses, six grandchildren and spouses, thirteen great grandchildren, sister Phyllis Raska, and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, brother David Bruhn and sister Jolene Reichelt.
