A celebration of life for Raymond Miller was held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery in Emmetsburg.
Raymond Harold Miller, son of LeRoy H. and Charlotte (Larson) Miller was born November 22, 1953 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He received his education in Emmetsburg, graduating from Emmetsburg High School in 1972. Ray continued his education, attending Iowa Lakes Community College. While in college, Ray worked at the Holiday Station in Emmetsburg.
Following his time in college, Ray began working at the Anthony’s Store in Emmetsburg and then accepted the position of manager at the Anthony’s Store in Pocahontas. Ray spent many years of his life farming, beginning by helping his father, LeRoy and later, after the store closed in Pocahontas, he farmed full time. He did grain farming as well as had livestock.
When Ray had time, he enjoyed playing a game of golf, going boating or spending time fishing. He also liked to ride his motorcycle and snowmobile when he was younger. Ray enjoyed going to the casino, especially after Wild Rose opened.
Ray passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at his home in Emmetsburg, Iowa at the age of 71. He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Charlotte Miller.
He is survived by his brothers, Dale Miller (Marge Hnath) of Emmetsburg, Iowa and Jerry Miller of Emmetsburg, Iowa; as well as other relatives and friends.
