Paul McNally, age 75 of Emmetsburg, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the Palo Alto County Health System in Emmetsburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, September 19, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Mass will be live streamed via Martin Mattice Funeral Home’s website. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, September 18, at Martin Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg. Services have been entrusted to Martin Mattice Funeral Home of Emmetsburg.
Paul Robert McNally, the son of Francis “Sass” and Kathryn Maxine (Devine) McNally, was born on October 6, 1950 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He graduated from Emmetsburg Catholic School in 1968 and attended college at the University of South Dakota. Paul was in the Army Reserves National Guard from 1972 until 1973. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Family was the most important thing to Paul.
Left to cherish Paul’s memory are his children, Alicia Kay Roos of Milford and Paul Joseph McNally of Frisco, TX; grandchildren, Foster and Brayden Roos; and siblings, John (Peg) McNally of Emmetsburg, Sheila McNally of Emmetsburg, Charlie McNally of Emmetsburg, Larry Bangart of Chilton, WI, May Jeanne Kacmarynski of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Patty (Bob) Grace of Altoona, and Kris McNally of New Holstein, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis “Sass” and Maxine McNally; daughter, Heather Lynn McNally; and siblings, Kay Kibbie, Jim McNally, Linda Bangart, Phillip McNally, Jack Kibbie, Lorrie McNally, and John Kacmarynski.
