Visitation for Patrick “Pat” Phillips will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Emmetsburg. Military rites will be presented by V.F.W. Post #2295 - Emmetsburg, Iowa U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Patrick Charles Phillips, Veteran, age 74, of Curlew IA, passed away peacefully on December 23rd , 2024. Born on June 5th , 1950 Pat was a quiet and thoughtful soul, who found solace in his single life on his farm. He valued independence and loved his life on the road as a long-haul driver. He loved his truck, pick up’s, camper and boat and was happiest on the road.
Patrick was the son of Jack and JoAnn Phillips of Emmetsburg. They preceded him in death as well as an infant sister Ellen Ann and also sister Jane Louise Wuebker.
He is survived by his 3 sisters, Mary (and John) Dierbeck, Liberty Hill, TX, Sue (and Terry) Muth of Mountain Home, AR, and Annette (and Kurt) Johnson of Lakewood, IL.
A celebration of his life will be on Friday July 25th, 2025. Visitation at Mattice-Martin Funeral Home 10AM followed by military honors at Saint John’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to an informal luncheon to honor Pat at the Brookstone Suites from noon to 3PM following the burial ceremony.
