Funeral service for Patricia "Patti" J. Ditch of West Bend was held Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg. The Rev. Bill Schreiber officiated.
Inurnment was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Emmetsburg. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home was in charge or arrangements.
Patricia Jean Ditch, daughter of Richard "Dick" and Mary (Schumacher) Ditch, was born Jan. 27, 1959 in Fort Dodge. She began her education at Mallard Community School and graduated from Emmetsburg Community School in 1977.
Patti operated a day care in Emmetsburg and after moving to Arizona, she worked at Gore for 20 years. Patti moved back to Iowa and was employed at Rabiner Treatment Center, Billy Jo's and the Chrome Café in Algona and also at the Candlelight. She then worked at the Wagon Wheel and Parkview Inn and Suites in West Bend.
Patti enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with her friends and family. She especially loved being with her three grandchildren.
Patti passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, at the age of 61. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Mary Ditch; two infant brothers, Richard and Joseph; a daughter, Emily Molacek; and a brother-in-law, Mark Larson.
She is survived by her children, Todd Ditch and his wife, Danielle of Emmetsburg, Valarie Ditch of Fairmont, MN and Chris Miller of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren, Trenton, Halle and Gage Ditch of Emmetsburg; her partner, Bernie Rosenecker of West Bend; brother, Dennis (Pat) Ditch of Vancouver, WA; sisters, Donna (Steve) Grubb of Sherburn, MN and Mary Ann Larson of Winona, MN; nieces and nephews; her best friends, Michelle Cook and Carol Hoch; as well as many other relatives and friends.
