NORTH FORT MYERS, FL -- Bertie G. Louscher, Jr., age 84, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021.

Bert entered this life on Dec. 11, 1936, in Harris, IA, to the late Bertie Louscher, Sr. and Gladys Brumley Louscher. He attended school in Paullina through his high school years, where he met the love of his life, Lorna.

Bert went on to graduate from Morningside College and later graduated from Northwestern University Dental School, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He spent two years at Ft. Benning, GA, where he served in the United States Army.

Bert later opened a dental practice in Emmetsburg where he practiced alongside his brother, Mike, until 1988. Upon moving to Punta Gorda, FL, Bert practiced until his retirement in 2000.

After retiring, Bert and Lorna spent 20 summers traveling the country in their motor home. During this time, they enjoyed vising with family and friends. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Bert is preceded in death by his siblings, Steven, and Mary Sue Louscher.

Survivors include his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 64 years, Lorna Kniese Louscher; children: Lori (James) McLaughlin, Kimberly (Lee) Eilers, Michelle Hawkins, and Mike (Angi) Louscher; grandchildren: Bryan (Noelle) McLaughlin, Craig (Christina) Mc-Laughlin, Doug (Rebekah) McLaughlin, Brady (Evie) Eilers, Brooke (Tyler) Slayman, Emily (Cade) Scott, Hanna Hawkins, Kelsey Hawkins, Leela Hawkins, Blake Louscher, Kane Louscher, and Mary Kath-erine Louscher; great grandchildren: Roman, Macy, Leo, Remington, Maxwell, Harper, Noelle, and Knox. Also surviving is his brother, Mike (Christine) Louscher of Algona.
