Emmetsburg would defeat MNW 43-34 on Monday, but fall to Okoboji (48-74) on Thursday and East Sac (31-66) on Friday.

“Our guys played their first game back from break on the road against MNW and got the W,” said Head Coach Bill Geelan. “I was very pleased with our defense overall, holding them down all game and making them take tough shots. Okoboji (Thursday) was a very fast and skilled offensive team and we struggled to keep up from the start. We have to sharpen our defense and find a way to score more consistently from both inside and outside. Against East Sac I thought we came out with a lot of intensity and we had a great first quarter against one of the best teams in our conference. We have to hold on to that fire and play with that same energy to finish strong. But we have a great chance next week to get back on the winning track.”
