Area Cross Country Harriers Compete at Algona Invite

Area harriers turned in strong performances for week six of high school cross country Monday night, as they competed in the Algona Cross Country Invitational.

The E-Hawk varsity girls would place eighth overall, earning 235 points and averaging a 23:37 running time. Izzy Householder would take home 15th place in 21:41, while Isabel Doyle would follow closely behind in 25th place in 22:20.

The Emmetsburg varsity boys would finish 18th overall with 438 points and an average time of 21:12. Isaac Janssen would earn 50th place in 18:57 for the boys, and Cade Jacobson would finish 66th in 19:31

The West Bend-Mallard varsity girls would place 10th overall with 257 points and an average time of 24:41. Rachel Fehr and Julia Fehr would lead the Wolverines, with Rachel earning 5th in 20:57 and Julia 12th in 21:34.

The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire varsity boys would place 19th on the day with 529 points. The Titan boys would average a time of 22:15, with Aiden Egertson leading the charge with a 75th place finish in 19:58.
