Lady E-Hawks Move to 10-4

After tournament wins in Graettinger and a 2-3 setback against Alta-Aurelia on the road, the Lady E-Hawks land at 10-4 overall on the season as they prepare to travel to Sioux Central tonight (Tuesday).
On Saturday, Sept. 19, the Lady E-Hawks competed against multiple schools in a tournament at Graettinger-Terril High School, winning four of five contests on the afternoon.
First facing West Bend-Mallard, Emmetsburg would fall 0-2 with scores of 13-21 and 11-21. During the contest, Abbie Schany and Maddy Mueller would each pick up three kills, with Mueller digging out three shots and serving one of two and Schany serving five for five. Macy McAllister would serve up four of five with one ace for the Lady E-Hawks.
In their second bout against the Wolverines, Emmetsburg would earn the 2-0 victory with scores of 21-12 and 21-11. McAllister would lead the girls at the net with five kills, serving eight for eight with one ace, and Mueller would tally four kills and serve nine for nine with an ace. Raegan Swanson would serve up 10 of 11, nailing two aces during the game.
Taking on Harris-Lake Park, the Lady E-Hawks would earn a 2-0 victory with scores of 21-5 and 21-16. McAllister would smash five kills in two sets and serve 13 of 14 with four aces during the contest. Mueller would hit four kills, while Schany would pick up six digs and serve five of seven with an ace.
Emmetsburg would earn another 2-0 victory facing Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (GTRA), winning with scores of 21-19 and 21-7. Schany would lead the net attack with seven kills, while McAllister would rack up six kills. Emma Auten would serve up 15 of 16, crushing five kills against the Titans.
