Lady E-Hawks Sweep Triangulars

The Lady E-Hawks would find victory on the road last week, claiming wins in triangulars at Manson-Northwest Webster (MNW) on Tuesday and South Central Calhoun (SCC) on Thursday.
Tuesday’s battle at MNW would see Emmetsburg take down the Cougars 3-1, with scores of 25-14, 25-17, 14-25, and 25-14.
Maddy Mueller and Macy McAllister would lead the offensive charge for the Lady E-Hawks, hammering home eight kills each. Mueller would tally three digs, serving 11 of 14 with one ace, and McAllister would dig out seven and serve nine of 12 with three aces.
Abbie Schany would smash seven kills and rack up 12 digs, launching 22 of 24 serves with four aces, and Raegan Swanson would also dig out 12 shots, going seven for 10 on serves with two aces in four sets.
The Lady E-Hawks would then win in a tough 3-2 contest over Southeast Valley with scores of 23-25, 23-25, 25-15, 25-16, and 15-13.
Mueller and McAllister would again lead the offensive charge with 13 and 14 kills respectively. Mueller would dig out 10 shots and serve a perfect 22 for 22, while McAllister would get six digs and serve 17 for 22 with six aces.
Schany would hit 10 kills in five sets, tallying 15 digs and serving 15 of 16 with three aces.
Emma Auten would serve up 18 of 19 with three aces and Emily Schany would hit 16 of 17 with one ace.
On Thursday’s road matchup at SCC, the Lady E-Hawks would first bring down the SCC Titans 3-0, with scores of 25-13, 25-13, and 25-23.
