Emmetsburg Cross Country Invitational Held Monday

EMMETSBURG E-HAWK CROSS COUNTRY had a strong showing on Monday at Five Island Golf in Emmetsburg. The E-Hawk varsity girls earned a second place finish with 95 points while the varsity boys earned 122 points on the day.

Five Island Golf in Emmetsburg was host to the Emmetsburg Cross Country Invitational on Monday night. Area high school and junior high harriers from Emmetsburg, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (GTRA), and West Bend-Mallard (WBM) competed in the event. The E-Hawk varsity girls team would earn 95 points and the second place overall finish on the day.

Emmetsburg would have four runners place in the top 15, with Izzy Householder (6) and Isabel Doyle (10) for the girls and Isaac Janssen (9) and Fabian Bowman (13) for the boys.

The WBM Wolverines would see three runners in the top 15 on the day, with Rachel Fehr (4), Julia Fehr (12), and Nolan Ford (14).

Emmetsburg and WBM will next travel to a challenging Humboldt on Monday, Sept. 21, while the GTRA Titans will head to Sioux Central today (Thursday).
