The Lady E-Hawks opened the season with a victory last Thursday, taking down Pocahontas Area 3-1 with scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-16, and 25-8.

Emmetsburg would show a few nerves as they hit the court, falling behind early against Pocahontas to fall by two in the first set, 23-25.

“We had a few jitters to start the game,” said Lady E-Hawk Volleyball Head Coach Danielle Auten, “but we shook those off and played our game.”

The Emmetsburg netters would find their rhythm as the match continued, containing the Pocahontas offensive front to pull away with consecutive set wins.
