St. Pat’s Weekend Trapshoot Announced

The Palo Alto Gun Club will once again sponsor its annual St. Pat’s Weekend Trapshoot on Sunday, March 18, as one of the final events of Emmetsburg’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration weekend.

The trapshoot will take place at the Sportsmans’ Park Recreation Area range, 5256 360th Street, north of Cylinder.

Registration and competition will get underway at 12 noon on March 18. There will be separate competitions for youth and adult shooters for both individuals and squads.

Events will include a 50-round 16-yard shoot; 50-round Handicap shoot and 50-round Doubles shoot.

Youth and Scholastic Clay Trap Program participants may shoot 50-round individually only, with no team scores.

There will be no pre-registration for youth, sign up on a first come/first served basis, starting at noon, with shooting limited to first 50 youth, Intermediate and senior shooters only. Scores will be posted on SHOTS if athlete is registered prior to the event.

Concessions will be available at the grounds,and the shoot will be held weather permitting, so dress accordingly.

Fees for shooting will be collected at time of registration.
