GT/RA Titans Split Games With North Union

ARMSTRONG – The Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire earned a split with North Union in games last Tuesday night. The Titan girls were edged 55-53 while the Titan boys earned a 72-43 win over the Warriors.

The GT/RA?Girls would trail 10-9 after one quarter and 25-19 at the intermission. The Titans would make up ground in the third frame to lead 40-31 at the end of the quarter but North Union would tie the game up at 45-45 at the end of regulation. In the overtime, however, North Union got one extra basket to take the 55-53 win.

For the Titans, Toni Alesch had 11 points, while Madison Hough added 10 points. Madison Norris scored nine points and Emma Heinrichs and Chloe Bakken both scored eight points and Taylor Park chipped in seven points.

The Titan boys took an early lead of 15-11 in the nightcap, and jumped out to a 41-20 lead at half time. In the third quarter, GT/RA edged out to a 57-32 lead and coasted in the final quarter to take the 72-53 victory.

GT/RA was led by Jacob Conlon’s 21 points and the 15 points of Tyson Kruse. Brady Rosacker added 10 points, while Chris Conlon scored nine points. Shea Royster tallied seven points and Tom Geelan added six points, with Koy Bakken scoring four points.
