GT/RA’s Titans Close Out Month With Split Against ELC
GRAETTINGER – Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire’s Basketball teams finished out a hectic schedule of games before the holiday break on Thursday at Estherville Lincoln Central. The Titan girls closed out the first half of the season witha 66-38 win over ELC, after a 60-45 win over East Sac County last Friday and a 41-20 win over Marcus-Meriden Cleghorn/Remsen Union on Saturday.
On Thursday, the Titan girls got 17 points from Toni Alesch and 14 points from Madison Norris along with 11 points from Taylor Park in the win over ELC. Emma Heinrichs and Maddy Hough both added nine points and Chloe Bakken chipped in six points. The win improves the Titan girls to 8-3 overall and 1-2 in the Twin Lakes Conference at the holiday break.
For the Titan boys, however, Thursday was a setback in a 54-34 loss to ELC. Earlier in the week, GT/RA’s boys had claimed a 58-55 win over East Sac County last Friday night, and then on Saturday night, collected a 59-49 victory over Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen Union.
But on Thursday night, the Titans struggled as Brady Rosacker had 13 points, while Tom Geelan tallied eight and Chris Conlon scored seven points to move to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the league.
