Wolverine Cross Country Teams Compete In District/Regional

HOLSTEIN – The Cross Country season came to a close Thursday afternoon in Holstein for the West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate girls and boys cross country teams. In the Class 1A District/Regional Cross Country qualifying meet, run at the Holstein Country Club.

The Lady Wolverines would conclude their cross country season by finishing in 15th place of the 17 teams running in the girls’ Regional meet.

Leading the way for West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate on Thursday was Julia Fehr, who would finish in 57th place with a time of 24:37.93.

Hannah Laddusaw would earn a time of 27:02.28, which was good for 87th place. Kallie Eggers finished in 95th place with a time of 27:37.39 on the day.

Abi Hoffman would turn in a time of 28:59.32 on Thursday to finish in 103rd place for the Lady Wolverines.

Morgan Schmidt would finish in the 110th place with her time of 30:27.71 and Brook Haley rounded out the Lady Wolverines’ efforts with her 33:15.44 clocking.

The Lady Wolverines would tally 395 points in the team standings.

In the boys District meet, the Wolverines would be paced by Mees Lindeman, who finished 44th in a time of 18:14.85.

Thomas Fehr would finish in 95th place, turning in a time of 20:38.64.

Mason Link would finish in 97th place in 20:41.30, while teammate Nolan Blair was 98th in 20:42.81.

Connor Fehr would finish with a clocking of 21:24.86 to earn the 119th place finish for the Wolverines, while Nolan Ford rounded out the efforts with a time of 22:35.13, good for 137th place.

The Wolverines would conclude their district outing with 446 points, good for a 16th place finish in the team standings at Holstein.
