Lady E-Hawks Battle Hard In Loss To Newell-Fonda

Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks came up short in a conference volleyball match Thursday night, losing 3-1 to Newell-Fonda. Game scores were 12-25, 18-25, 26-24 and 23-25.

In the Junior Varsity match, Emmetsburg fell by scores of 19-25 and 19-25 and in Freshman play, Emmetsburg fell by scores of 12-25 and 23-25.

For the Lady E-Hawk varsity, Molly Schany would make 34 attacks with 12 kills, as well as blocking one shot, connecting on eight of 12 serves with one ace and digging out three shots on the night.

Abbie Schany would make 22 attacks and had three kills, with 12 of 14 service completions and five digs for her team.

Emma Anderson made 18 attacks and had three kills, while blocking one shot and digging out two shots while handing out four assists to her teammates.

Macy McAllister also made 18 attacks and had three kills, along with completing 10 of 11 serves and digging out six shots, while handing out six assists.

Parker Traub would make nine attacks and had one kill, but dug out five shots, blocked one shot and handed out eight assists, while completing 20 of 21 serves with a pair of aces.

Gretchen Hofstad made nine attacks and had one kill, but dug out 10 shots on the night and dished out three assists, while completing five of six serves with one ace.

Morgan Jamison dug out three shots and Lindsay Carter added six digs and made 13 of 15 serves with three aces.

Emmetsburg continues Twin Lakes Conference volleyball play tonight (Tuesday) when they travel to Manson to take on Manson Northwest Webster and Southeast Valley. ?Play begins at 5:30 p.m.
