Lady E-Hawks Earn Fifth Place At Okoboji

MILFORD – Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks placed fifth at Monday’s Okoobji Relays with 60 points. A pair of first place finishes anchored the Lady E-Hawks’ appearance.

Senior Shelby Loomis used a great kick down the final stretch to win the 200 meter dash in a time of :27.30 and senior Kayla Joyce won the discus with a throw of 115’11” on Monday.

Fellow senior Bailey Naig earned third place honors in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:15.38 and Raven Brown would finish fourth in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:26.93.

Shelby Loomis took fifth in the long jump, leaping 14’10.75″ , while Hailey Foxhoven took fifth in the 100 hurdles with a :17.93 clocking and Molly Schany finished fifth in the discus, throwing the platter 102’5″..

Gabrielle Janssen would earn sixth place sixth in the 800 meter run with her 2:49.12 clocking, while Kayla Joyce earned seventh place in the shot put, throwing 31’3.75″ and Annie Brennan took eighth in the shot put with her throw of 30’9.75″.

Lindsay Carter placed eighth in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:24.14 and Gabrielle Janssen took eighth in the 3000 meters with her time of 13:24.03, while Kate Jackson finished eighth in the 1500 meter run in 5:59.69.

Jordan Hoyman would run a 2:51.64 in the 800 meter run to place eighth, while Mary Nelson finished eighth in the200 meter dash with a time of :29.57 and Lindsay Carter finished eighth int he 100 meter dash in :14.50 and then took ninth in the 100 meter hurdles with an :18.59 clocking.

Linnea Ankeny finished tenth in the 400 meter dash in 1:19.46 and Morgan Jamison finished 11th in the long jump with a leap of 12’3.75″.

Emmetsburg’s 4×800 relay would take third place with a time of 11:12.91, while the 4×400 relay took fourth place with a time of 4:24.18 and the Sprint Medley Relay also finished fourth in a time of 2:04.24. The Distance Medley also placed fourth in a time of 4:48.37 and the 4×100 relay would finish sixth with a time of :55.03.

The Lady E-Hawks wwill return to action this Friday at Spencer.
