GT/RA Boys Run Well In Meets
GRAETTINGER – Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire’s Titan boys continue to run well in track meets during the past week.
On Tuesday, April 18, the Titans ran at Spirit Lake and on Friday, ran at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn.
In action at Spirit Lake, Shea Royster won the discus throwing 113’1″ and set a new school record winning the shot with a throw of 71’2″. The Sprint Medley relay of Nate Larson, Chris Conlon, Jake Conlon and Kolton Roth won with a 1:42 time and the 4×100 relay of Nate Larson, Simon Cahill, Kolton Roth and Eric Sundall won in :48.2.
Jake Conlon won both the 400 meters in :53.35 and the 800 meters in 2:08 while Eric Sundall won the 400 hurdles in :59.64.
The Titans’ 4×800 relay of Kadin Norris, Spencer Roth, Lucas Hoffman and Cameron Johnson was second in 10:05. while the 4×200 relay of Nate Larson, Simon Cahill, Spencer Roth and Kolton Roth took second in 1:40.
Eric Sundall finished second in the 100 meter dash in :11.41 and second in the 400 meter run in :54.88.
Chris Conlon would earn third place in the 3200 meter run in 11:58 and the 800 meter run in 2:18 along with the Distance Medley of Simon Cahill, Lucas Hoffman, Kadin Norris and Cameron Johnson, which took third in 4:17.68
Nate Larson finished fourth in the 100 meter dash in :11.67 and Simon Cahill was fourth in the 200 meter dash in :24.66.
Mason Fay placed fifth in the shot put, throwing 33’7″ and Kadin Norris was fifth in the 1600 meter run in a time of 5:32.
Jacob Chicoine placed sixth in the 3200 meter run in 12:52, while Brett Triggs was sixth in the 200 meter dash in :27.27 and Lucass Hoffman finished sixth in the 400 hurdles in 1:13.
Friday night the Titans journeyed to Hartley for the HMS?Relays to compete against some very tough competition.
The Titans’ 4×800 relay set a new school record with their 8:50.8 time, winning first place, Members of the relay are Kolton Roth, Chris Conlon, Eric Sundall and Jake Conlon.
Jake Conlon would also capture first place honors in the 400 meter dash with a time of :53.86.
Earning third place in the 4×200 was the quartet of Nate Larson, Simon Cahill, Kolton Roth and Eric Sundall, as they set a new school record with their 1:36.99 clocking to place third.
Eric Sundall would finish third in the 800 meter run in 2:11.07 and the 4×100 relay of Eric Sundall, Simon Cahill, Kolton Roth and Nate Larson finished third in :46.21.
Shea Royster took fifth place in the shot put with a throw of 41’10.5″. The Distance Medley quartet of Nate Larson, Lucas Hoffman, Chris Conlon and Kadin Norris finished fifth in 4:08.12 and the 4×400 relay group of Nate Larson, Simon Cahill, Kolton Roth and Chris Conlon took fifth place with a 3:55.84 clocking.
