Lady E-Hawks Finish Fourth At Tomahawk Relays

CHEROKEE – Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks earned a fourth place finish in the team standings at Friday’s Tomahawk Relays in Cherokee.

Raven Brown would capture the first place honors in the 1500 meter run on Friday, finishing with a 5:37.33 mark, and teammate Kayla Joyce finished first in the discus with a winning throw of 110’3” and second in the shot put with her 32’7″ throw.

Shelby Loomis earned a pair of second place finishes in the 200 meter dash in :28.15 and in the 400 meter dash with at time of 1:04.04 and Gabrielle Janssen took second place i the 3200 meter run with a time of 12:47.55.

Emmetsburg’s 4×800 relay squad of Jordan Hoyman, Kate Jackson, Heidi Malm and Molly Schany took third with a time of 11:30.00 and the Shuttle Hurdle Relay foursome of Ashley Overberg, Lindsay Carter, Bailey Naig and Hailey Foxhoven also finished third in 1:14.46.

The Distance Medley Relay of Bailey Naig, Jordan Hoyman, Ashley Overberg and Raven Brown finished third in 4:50.43, while the 4×400 relay of Jordan Hoyman, Molly Schany, Bailey Naig and Shelby Loomis earned a sixth place finish in 4:32.20.

The 4×200 relay of Bailey Naig, Molly Schany, Jordan Hoyman and Shelby Loomis finished ninth in 2:02.84, while the 4×100 relay with Lindsay Carter, Melody Goodman, Linnea Ankeny and Paula Stening finished tenth in 1:02.97 and the Sprint Medley Relay of Morgan Jamison, Ali Laubenthal, Raven Brown and Mary Nelson turned in a time of 2:09.77 to finish tenth as well.

Gabrielle Janssen earned fifth place in the 1500 meter run with a 5:53.99 effort, while Hailey Foxhoven was fifth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of :18.10. Annie Brennan took fifth place in the shot put, throwing 31’1″ and Hailey Foxhoven earned sixth place i the 400 meter hurdles with her 1:15.08 effort.

Kate Jackson would place eighth in the 800 meter run in 2:53.70 and Ashley Overberg finished eighth in the long jump, coming away with a leap of 14’2.5″. Molly Schany placed ninth in the discus, throwing the platter 86’3″, while Ali Laubenthal tied for ninth place in the high jump, clearing 4’4″. Shelby Loomis finished ninth in the long jump with her leap of 14′.5″ and Bailey Naig earned ninth place in the 200 meter dash with a :29.40 clocking.

Ali Laubenthal placed tenth in the 100 hurdles with a :19.06 time, while Heidi Malm was 11th in the 400 meter dash in 1:12.64. Jamie Bird finished 12th in the 800 meter run in a time of 3:01.25, while Kristen Kassel placed 16th in the 100 meter dash in :16.97 and Melody Goodman was 17th in a time of :17.66.
