GT/RA Titans Open Season With Big Win

GRAETTINGER – The Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire kicked off their 2016 football season with a 52-12 win over Glidden-Ralston Friday night.

GT/RA would feature a balanced offensive effort in the contest, coming away with 181 rushing yards and 151 aerial yards on the night for a total of 332 yards in the win.

Kolton Roth would collect 68 yards rushing off 15 carries of the football, while Lucas Hoffman would gain 37 yards in the contest, including a seven-yard touchdown run. Spencer Roth would add a trio of rushing attempts to gain 12 yards, while Simon Cahling gained four yards off two runs and Eric Sundall racked up a pair of two-point conversion runs.

Quarterback Jacob Conlon stepped up to complete eight of his 14 pass attempts and tallied three scoring strikes in the process, while having one pass intercepted. Conlon would also come away with 60 yards of rushing off seven carries and scored a touchdown for the Titans.

Nate Larson would make a 42 yard reception as one of his five receptions to account for 101 passing yards, while scoring two touchdowns. Kolton Roth made three catches for 50 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown reception.

Additionally, Lucas Hoffman, Nate Larson and Kolton Roth each scored one two-point conversion.

Defensively, Kolton Roth had eight stops, with Sam Skattebo adding seven and a half tackles. Jacob Conlon and Nate Larson both intercepted passes in the contest and Sam Skattebo recovered a fumble.

GT/RA will travel to Northwood-Kensett this Friday night.
