Fall Sports Seasons Officially Begin With Practices

Monday marked the official start of the Fall Sports seasons as practices for football, volleyball and cross country began across the state. Student athletes in Emmetsburg made the transition from their summer camps to practices to prepare for their seasons as well.

The Emmetsburg E-Hawk football team starts practices in preparation for the new district slate of games in 2016. The season opens at Spencer on Aug. 26.

The Lady E-Hawk Volleyball team, under new Head Coach Jessica Bieber, are preparing for their season opening match at North Iowa in Buffalo Center on Tuesday, Aug. 23.

Emmetsburg’s Cross Country squads, under the guidance of Coach Valerie Pickett, are readying for their opening meet on Aug. 23 at the Spencer Municipal Golf Course.
