Lady E-Hawks Offense Stifled At Newell-Fonda Tournament

FONDA – Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks were winless in three games at the Newell-Fonda softball tournament Saturday.

Emmetsburg fell by an 11-1 tally to Newell-Fonda and then lost to Charter Oak-Ute by an 11-1 tally before being shut out by Logan-Magnolia 11-0.

Against Newell-Fonda, Mikayla Frerichs took the loss, giving up 11 runs, eight earned, in six innings with nine walks and four strikeouts.

Molly Schany had an RBI?single and Emma Anderson, Allison Freeman and Kate Jackson had hits.

Against Charter Oak-Ute, Lindsay Carter took the loss, going three and two-thirds innings, giving up 10 runs, eight earned, off five hits with 10 walks and one strikeout. Parker Traub relived for an inning and a third and gave up one earned run off two hits with one strikeout. Molly Schany and Jenna Chapman had the lone hits for Emmetsburg.

Against Logan-Magnolia, Parker Traub took the loss in her first start of the season, going four and a third and giving up 11 runs, one earned, off seven hits with six walks and three strikeouts. Lindsay Carter pitched two-thirds of an inning in relief.

For Emmetsburg, Ali Laubenthal and Emma Anderson had hits.
