NEWELL – The post season came to a close Friday for the Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire boys golf squad. The Titans would finish fourth in the 1A District meet at Newell-Fonda, finishing with a 373 stroke total.

North Union would capture the title with a 331, while Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn finished second with a 344 total.

For the Titans, Nick Josephson led the effort with an 89, while Andy Geelan shot a 94. Josh Petrich and Brady Flint both shot rouds of 95, while Brady Rosacker added a 97 and Noah Flaherty carded a 99.

“The boys kind of struggled Friday in the wind and the cold at Newell and were unable to advance to the next round. However, we definitely showed a lot of improvement and these same guys last year finished last.” noted GT/RA Coach John Fulton. “Thanks to the three seniors that we had out: Nick Josephson, Andy Geelan, and Brady Flint. These guys worked really hard the last couple of years and they will be missed next year when we put our team together.”
