E-Hawks Compete At Lakes Conference Track

LEMARS – Emmetsburg’s E-Hawk thinclads finished eighth at Thursday’s Lakes Conference Track and Field meet.

The top finish for Emmetsburg would come from senior Nick Grandstaff in the high jump, as he cleared 5’8″ to finish third overall. The E-Hawks’ 4×200 relay would finish fifth in 1:37.37, while Grant Deitering took fifth place in the 200 meter dash in :23.74. Ethan Berven finished sixth in the 400 meter dash with a :55.82 effort, while Dalton Connelly was sixth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.35 and sixth in the 110 high hurdles with a :16.96 effort, while the Shuttle Hurdle relay finished sixth in 1:09.36 and the 4×400 relay was sixth in 3:53.83.

The 4×100 relay earned seventh place with a time of :46.97, while the Distance Medley ran a 4:01.20 to earn a seventh place finish. Aaron Hutchison would finish seventh in the 200 meter dash with a :24.43 clocking, while Cruz Bowman would finish eighth in the 800 meter dash with his 2:17.09 effort and Nick Grandstaff finished eighth in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:10.87.

Cruz Bowman placed ninth in the 3200 meters in 11:10.87, while Jacob Myers would finish ninth with a throw of 107’10” in the discus and Brent Wesley placed ninth in the 100 meter dash in :12.39. Connor Joyce placed 11th in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:10.09.

Adam Deitering earned 12th place in the 1600 meter run with a 5:23.19 effort, while Dawson Carlson placed 14th in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:25.05. Nick Schany earned 14th place in the shot put, throwing 35’7″, while Ethan Berven placed 14th in the long jump, leaping 17’4″.

Kyle Licht earned 14th place in the discus with a throw of 76’11”, while Chris Nichols finished 15th in the 800 meter run with a 2:34.05 clocking and Spencer Griffin rounded out the placings with a 16th place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.35.
