Emmetsburg Squads Sweep County Golf Meet

WEST?BEND – The Emmetsburg Lady E-Hawk and E-Hawk golf teams swept their respective divisions at the Palo Alto County Golf Meet Friday afternoon at the West Bend Country Club.

The Emmetsburg Lady E-Hawks won the girls’ title with a team score of 210, while Graettinger-Terril/

Ruthven-Ayrshire shot a 243 team score.

Emmetsburg’s Allison Freeman would capture the girls’ meet medalist honors with her round of 48, while GT/RA’s Sarah Harris finished as the runner-up medalist with a round of 51.

For the Lady E-Hawks, Freeman’s round of 48 was followed by Laura Moser with a round of 52, while Katie Hoffman and Benni Greene both shot rounds of 55. Sarah Pugh and Parker Traub would both shoot rounds of 58 to round out the effort.

Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire was led by the 51 stroke score of Sara Harris, who was followed by Emma Feldhacker with a 58. Sarah Alexander shot a round of 62, while Annika Akridge carded a 72 and Kady Feldhacker shot a round of 73.

For West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate, Megan Garrard shot a round of 51.

In the boys action, Emmetsburg would earn the team title with a roun of 175, while West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate edged Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire by one stroke, 181-182.

Emmetsburg’s Hunter McAllister earned the boys’ Meet Medalist honors with a round of 42, while the runner up honors went to WBM/GCB’s Gus Tjlergard, who also shot a 42, after a playoff hole.

Following McAllister’s 42 for the E-Hawks of Emmetsburg was Nate Schiek with a 43, Clayton Freeman with a 44, Matt Kibbie and Isaac Embrock with rounds of 46 and Will Schany with a round of 50.

For the Wolverines, Tjlergard’s 42 was followed by Nolan Dahlhauser with a 45 and Taylor Bennett and Nick Ford with rounds of 47. Ben Auten shot a 48 and Cole Hoskins carded a 49.

Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven /Ayrshire was led by the 44 stroke round of Brady Rosacker, while Tyson Kruse shot a 45. Nick Josephson carded a 46, while Josh Petrich shot a 47. Noah Flaherty carded a round of 49 and Brady Flint shot a round of 55.
