Lady E-Hawks Compete At Pocahontas Relays

POCAHONTAS – Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks ran in the Pocahontas Relays Tuesday night and were led by the second place finish of Kayla Joyce in the discus competition. Joyce threw the disc 115’3″, and also placed sixth in the shot put, throwing 30’1.5″.

Rachel Berkland would claim third place in the long jump with her leap of 14’1″ and Jordan Hoyman earned a third place finish in the 3000 meter run with a time of 12:28.20. Rachel Berkland would finish fourth in the 400 meter dash in a time of :64.10.

The 4×800 meter relay of Mary Nelson, Jordan Lange, Melody Goodman and Cierra McAllister earned fifth place in 12:13.84, while the Distance Medley Relay, with Bailey Naig, Mary Nelson, Shelby Loomis and Kate Jackson, also earned fifth place in 4:58.58. The 4×200 relay group of Ali Laubenthal, Natalee Lowe, Melody Goodman and Jordan Lange ran a 1:02.02 to finish fifth and the 4×400 relay group of Rachel Berkland, Shelby Loomis, Jordan Hoyman and Kate Jackson also finished fifth in 4:43.24.

Rachel Berkland claimed fifth place in the 200 meter dash with a :28.31 effort and Jordan Hoyman was fifth in the 1500 meter run in a time of 5:49.55. Shelby Loomis would earn sixth place in the 800 meter run with a 2:43.73 clocking.

The 4×200 relay of Kiersten Duhn, Natalee Lowe, Kayla Joyce and Jordan Hoyman finished sixth in th 2:05.61 and the Sprint Medley Relay, with Kiersten Duhn, Kayla Joyce, Mary Nelson and Bailey Naig finished sixth in 2:11.89.

In the high jump, Ali Laubenthal cleared 4’4″ and in the 100 meter dash, Kiersten Duhn ran a :14.55 and Natalee Lowe ran a :15.21. Bailey Naig would run the 100 hurdles in :18.76, while Ali Laubenthal ran a :20.97.
