GT/RA Titans Give Good Efforts At Estherville Relays
ESTHERVILLE?- The GT/RA?Titan boys ran at the Estherville Relays last Friday and came away with several good performances.
Leading the effort was Eric Sundall, as he won the 400 meter hurdles in 1:02.
Jake Conlon earned second in the 800 meter run in 2:11, and second in the 1600 meter run in 5:07. Michael Girres took second in the200 meter dash in :24.69 and the 4×800 relay of Jared Sikora, Chris Conlon, Eric Sundall and Jake Conlon finished second in 9:05.
The Titans’ 4×100 relay with Michael Girres, Nate Larson, Kolton Roth and MAgus Vangsbo took third place in :47.7 and Chris Hagedorn earned third place in the shot put, throwing 41’10.5″.
The 4×200 relay quartet of Michael Girres, Kolton Roth, Marc Olle and Eric Sundall finished fourth with a time of 1:42 and the Medley relay of Tommy Geelan, Andy Geelan, Marc Olle and Linus Albrecht finished fifth in 4:38.
Jared Sikora took fifth place in the high jump, clearing 4’2″, while Cole Hagedorn finished fifth in the discus with a throw of 102’1″. In the 110 hurdles, Jared Sikora ran an :18.55 to finish fifth, while Chris Conlon finished the 1600 meter run in 5:17 to place fifth. Rounding out the fifth place finishes was the Shuttle Hurdle Relay of Noah Stukey, Andy Geelan, Jared Sikora and Kolton Roth with a 1:13 clocking.
Linus Albrecht placed sixth in the 3200 meter run in 13:21, while Marc Olle was sixth in the 400 meter dash in :58.14 and Noah Stukey ran the 110 hurdles in :19.06 to place sixth.
“We had some very good things that make us excited for state qualifying,”?noted Titans Head Coach David Peterson, “but we are still struggling to put all the pieces together. Our fifth place team finish was led by outstanding performances.”
