E-Hawk Golfers Get Off To Rough Start

Emmetsburg’s E-Hawk golfers had a pair of tough matches last week, as they fell to Spencer and Humboldt on Monday and then fell to Spencer and Bishop Garrigan on Thursday.

In action on Monday at Spencer, the E-Hawks show a 191 and were led by Clayton Freeman’s round of 44. Hunter McAllister followed with a round of 47, while Matt Kibbie and Isaac Embrock both shot rounds of 50 and Will Schany carded a round of 63.

On Thursday, the E-Hawks hosted Spencer and Bishop Garrigan at the Five Island Golf Course and shot a 180 to finish behind Bishop Garrigan with a 153 and Spencer with a 167.

Clayton Freeman would lead Emmetsburg’s efforts with a round of 40, while Matt Kibbie and Isaac Embrock both carded rounds of 45 over the Five Island links.

Will Schany shot a round of 50 and Hunter McAllister carded a 51, with Calvin Hart adding a 61 to round out the varsity scoring.

In Junior Varsity action, Emmetsburg got a 54 from Adam Berkland, while Zach Mason carded a 56 and Brennan Duhn shot a 58.

The E-Hawks return to action this Friday at Lake Creek in Storm Lake against Storm Lake and Spirit Lake.
