Titans Claim Share Of Twin Lakes Leauge Crown
BURNSIDE – The Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruth-ven-Ayrshire claimed a share of the Twin Lakes Conference championship Friday night with a 73-68 win over Southeast Valley. The win gives the Titans a three-way tie for the league title with Pocahontas Area and Southeast Valley.
The Titans would open Friday’s game by taking an eight-point, 17-9 lead at the end of the first quarter of play, and increased their lead to 11 points at 36-25 at the half-time break.
In the second half, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire would continue to play a solid game on both ends of the court to hold a 55-48 lead going into the final quarter of play and held off a rally by Southeast Valley to take the 73-68 win.
For the Titans, Andy Geelan would pace the offense with a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds, along with seven assists to his teammates. GT/RA also got 1 14-point effort from Jared Sikora, while teammates Noah Stukey and Michael Girres both scored 11 points each in the contest. Taylor Enderson added 10 points to the coffers. Jacob Conlon would chip in a bucket to round out the scoring for Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire.
