E-Hawks Prepare For Upcoming Seasons

Emmetsburg’s E-Hawks held an informal intra-squad scrimmage Saturday morning to give fans a preview of the upcoming basketball season. The Junior Varsity and Varsity squad both played two quarters each under game conditions.

Under the guidance of Head Coach Bill Geelan, Emmetsburg will begin action this coming Friday, Nov. 27, when the play a Hall of Pride Scrimmage game in Spirit Lake against the Sheldon Orabs. The scrimmage is set for a 6 p.m. tip off at Spirit Lake High School.

The regular season will get underway on Tuesday, December 1, when Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks and E-Hawks travel to Pocahontas for a girl-boy doubleheader against the Indians in a 6 p.m. tip off.

The Lakes Conference schedule will get underway the following Tuesday, when Emmetsburg travels to Spencer to take on the Spencer Tigers in a girl-boy doubleheader on December 8 with a 6:15 p.m. tipoff.

The Emmetsburg E-Hawk Wrestlers will get their campaign on the mats underway on Thursday, December 3, when they travel to Forest City for a double dual with Forest City and West Hancock. Action will begin at 6 p.m.

The E-Hawk wrestlers will then travel to Humboldt the next evening, Friday, Dec. 4, to wrestle in the Humboldt Tournament. Action will get underway at 4:30 p.m. in Humboldt.
