“The fifth and sixth runners and steadily closing the gap on the first through fourth ladies,” Pickett noted.”This creates a tougher team as a result. Our ladies typically run very well on the hilly courses due to their time spent in the weight room. They are stronger than a lot of their competition and it shows on these types of courses.

Nolan Greene 20:29 – 34

Silvan Hofer 20:30 – 35

“The Varsity boys were without their top two runners but competed as well as they could,”?Pickett said. “Our first through sixth runners were very tight tonight. Now they need to work together to move that pack up 10 spots to make the team more competitive.”

On Saturday, the team traveled to Holstein to run in the Tim Thomas Invitational. The Varsity girls took second and Varsity boys finished third, while the JV?Boys won as did the Middle School girls.

“Saturday was a fantastic day for the E-Hawks all-around,” noted Coach Pickett. “The weather was perfect and we raced to the best of our abilities. 33 kids ran their best times ever. This is a huge feat to put this all together on the same day! And the amount of time they cut off is astonishing!”
