ELC’s Midgets Manhandle Titan Wreslters
Parents Night for the Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire didn’t have quite the outcome as hoped, as Estherville Lincoln Central handed the Titans a 50-17 setback duel action Tuesday night.
Action started at 120 pounds in the duel, and the Titans’ Sam George was pinned in 1:37 by ELC’s Easton Gifford.
At 126 pounds, Beau Schany earned a win by forfeit for the Titans, making the score 6-6. But at 132 pounds, ELC’s Oscar Ramirez scored a 2:39 win by fall over Alex Hoffman, before the Titans’ Ty Gibson earned a 6-2 decision win over the Midgets’ Thomas Bortvit at 138 pounds, making the team score 9-12 in favor of Estherville Lincoln Central.
ELC would collect a decision at 145 pounds, as Cole Budach claimed an 8-5 decision win over the Titans’ Boston Swan. At 152 pounds, Blake Gjerde of ELC?won an 18-4 Major Decision over Tyler Hoffman to make the score 19-9, but at 160 pounds, Hunter Brown came away with a 7-4 decision win over Kelly Clabaugh to give GT/RA?a victory.
Trailing 12-19, the Titans saw Matt McGrauth come up short in a 9-0 Major Decision loss at the hands of Billy Snyder in the 170 pound match and at 182 pounds, Jake Bortvit scored a 5:19 win by fall over Kodi Ferguson in their match.
At 195 pounds, Austin Egeland won a 7-4 decision over Nate Harris and at 220 pounds, Chase Bonner scored a :57 win by fall over Kyle Long to improve the Midgets’ lead to 38-12.
The Titans picked up a win at 285 pounds as Cody Thompson was awarded a win by forfeit, but those would be the final points of the duel for GT/RA, as the Titans forfeited to ELC?Zackary Snyder at 106 and Juan Castro of ELC?pinned Keeven Long in :54 for the 50-17 final score after a penalty point was deducted from the Titans’ total.
