Palo Alto County Golf Outing Set

By Staff | Aug 6, 2013

Area residents who would like to help area youth with furthering their education are invited to participate in the 2013 Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation’s Palo Alto County Golf Outing.

The annual scholarship fundraising event is set for Friday, Aug. 9, at the Spring Hills Country Club in Mallard. Registration and lunch will take place starting at 11 a.m., and the golf action will start with a noon shotgun start.

Through participation in the golf outing, proceeds generated are used to fund scholarships at Iowa Lakes Community College that are presented to Palo Alto County residents attending the college each year.

Participants in the Palo Alto County Golf Outing will have the opportunity to enjoy a round of golf, as well as fellowship, with some special opportunities, including the Chip into the Boat contest. A boat is anchored in the pond and golfers can purchase shots to try and chip into the boat for prizes

A special raffle prize of a Stay and Dine Package at the Wild Rose Casino and Resort is also being offered, along with a gift card for food and beverages at Duniagan’s, Emmet’s or the Wild Perk. Tickets are available at the Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.

Prizes and awards will be presented at the conclusion of the outing on Friday afternoon in the clubhouse at Spring Hills.
