Lady E-Hawks Run At Pocahontas
POCAHONTAS – With the Spring weather not being overly conducive to track and field, Emmetsburg’s Lake E-Hawks were able to get outdoors to compete for the second time this season last Tuesday at the Pocahontas Relays. Emmetsburg would finish sixth in the team standings on the day.
The Lady E-Hawks would get a third place finish in the 100 meter dash from Miranda Vlasman with a time of :13.67, and also got a third place from the Shuttle Hurdle Relay, as the foursome of Cierra McAllister, Hadley Egland, Alexa Naig and Whitney Kibbie turned in a time of 1:18.76 for their placing.
Also finishing third for Emmetsburg was the Distance Medley relay, as the quartet of Rachel Schroeder, Hadley Egland, Caroline Fantz and Taylor Reimer turned in a time of 4:56.18 for the third place.
Whitney Kibbie earned a fourth place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of :17.80 and the 4×200 relay, made up of Rachel Schroder, Mikki Mundus, Alexa Naig and Emily Bonnstetter, took fourth place with a time of 1:58.73.
The 4×800 relay, with Olivia Smith, Ema Enriquez, Tara Harris and Maura Soukup, placed fourth with a time of 13:01.27 and the 4×100 relay, with Miranda Vlasman, Mikki Mundus, Alexa Naig and Emily Bonnstetter finished fifth with a time of :56.28.
Caroline Fantz placed fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of :29.65 and Taylor Reimer also placed fifth as she finished the 800 meter run in 2:49.18.
Hadley Egland earned sixth place in the 100 meter hurdles with an :18.15 clocking and the Sprint Medley Relay, comprised of Rachel Schroeder, Mikki Mundus, Emily Bonnstetter and Alexa Naig, finished sixth with a time of 2:07.26.
With the track and field schedules in flux this Spring due to weather, the Lady E-Hawks have a full week of competition on their plate, weather permitting, starting with the Okoboji Invite on Monday and then a makeup on Tuesday at Estherville Lincoln Central.
