Titans Score Often In 64-14 Win Over Northeast Hamilton

BLAIRSBURG – A road trip to Blairsburg to face Northeast Hamilton proved to be beneficial for the Titans of Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire on Friday night. The Titans got a career game out of Carter Williamson on their way to a 64-14 victory. The win improves the Titans’ mark to 2-4 in Eight Man District Two and 2-6 overall.

The Titans got off to a slow start after the long bus ride, but were able to put a touchdown on the scoreboard in the opening quarter for an 6-0 early advantage.

But in the second quarter,GT/RA reeled off four touchdowns in the period for a 32-point effort. Northeast Hamilton would get on the scoreboard and at the halftime break, the Titans held a 38-8 advantage.

With the momentum on their side, the Titans picked up whee they left off in the second half and added three more touchdowns to their tally in the third frame for a 58-8 lead as the clock ran continuously for the remainder of the contest. In the final quarter, the reserves took over and added a final touchdown to the effort, as did Northeast Hamilton for the 64-14 final.

For Graettinger-Terril/ Ruthven-Ayrshire, the offense ran wild, rolling up 490 yards off 54 attempts. Northeast Hamilton gained 37 yards rushing off 22 attempts and completed just seven of 13 passes for 67 yards.

Carter Williamson would lead the way with 251 yards off 24 rushes while scoring six touchdowns, while Blaze Alesch added 120 yards from 10 carries and a pair of touchdowns.

Kyle Dalen added 39 yards off seven rushes and Michael Girres added 25 yards off seven rushes and scored one touchdown.

Lane Rieman added 23 yards from three attempts and Ryan Jacks carried the ball twice for two yards.

Blaze Alesch completed three of seven passes for 26 yards, with Garrett Parker making a 24 yard reception and Kyle Dalen adding two catches for two yards.

Defensively, Jake Wegner recovered a fumble for the Titans and Blaze Alesch intercepted a pass.
