Harriers Host Own XC Invitational
Emmetsburg hosted its own Cross Country Invitational Monday night and earned six medals with a pair of new personal records.
The Lady E-Hawks finished fourth in the team standings and were led by Caroline Fantz who medalled with an 18:26.92 time for 10th place. Taylor Reimer earned a medal with and 18:41.56 clocking for 12th place and Mikki Mundus turned in a time of 19:00.10 to finish 14th for a medal placing.
Emily Bonnstetter finished 20th with a time of 19:19.20, while Tara Harris was 22nd in 19:23.40. Maura Soukup finished 25th in 19:35.67 and Rachel Ruddy was 26th in a time of 19:41/69.
The JV girls were led by Madison Reimer’s second place finish in 22:59.26, while Alison Gould was third in 23:33.85 and Ema Enriquez was fifth in 29:42.18. All three of the JV runners earned medals for their finishes.
Courtney Wurzer ran in the Middle School division, finishing 21st in 16:15.84.
For the E-Hawk boys, Nick Grandstaff would lead the effort with a time of 18.59.83, good for 17th place.
Austin Cole would set a new Personal Record Monda with his 21:14.55, good for 23rd place. Michael Pugh would finish in 25th place with a time of 22:07.73 and Daniel VanOosbree would set a new Personal Record with his time of 22:18,36, which was good for a 25th place finish.
Middle School runners Jordan Cole finished with a 14:39 for eighth place and Zach Mason finished tenth with a time of 14:51 to round out the Emmetsburg finishes.
