Emmetsburg Middle School Boys Compete At State Meet

The Emmetsburg Middle School boys track team participated in the Mike Henderson Junior High State Track Meet on May 5 collected several solid finishes.

Leading the way was the 4×100 relay, as the foursome of Dalton Connelly, Max Dunlap, AJ Krieg and Thomas Schultes took first place.

A.J. Krieg earned third in the long jump and also finished sixth in the 100 meter dash, while Austin Noll would earn a fourth place finish in the shot put.

Max Dunlap earned a sixth place finish in the 200 meter dash and Thomas Schultes would finish fifth in the 200 meter dash, while Dalton Connelly took a third place finish in the 200 hurdle event and then placed sixth in the 100 meter hurdles to round out the Seventh Graders’ finishes.

The Eighth graders got a fifth place finish from the 4×200 relay of Kyle Kassel, Alex DeFord, Wes Schultes and Chance Saathoff and Alex DeFord added a sixth place finish in the high jump for Coach Jared Pickett’s tracksters.
