Lady E-Hawks Host Own Relays

Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks hosted their own Lady E-Hawk Relays Monday night and despite blustery conditions, several good times and performances were recorded by Coach Dan Dooley’s squad. Spencer would win the team title with 186 points and was followed by Western Christian, Cherokee, Estherville Lincoln Central and the Lady E-Hawks, along with LeMars and Clay Central-Everly.

The Lady E-Hawks got a third place finish from Hadley Egland in the 100 meter hurdle event, as she was clocked at :18.30. Emmetsburg also took third place in the in the 4×100 with a time of :54.84, and a third in the 4×200 relay with a time of 1:55.85. The Sprint Medley relay also earned third place honors with a time of 2:03.02.

Aly Berven earned fourth place honors in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of :18.45 and Britni Will finished fourth in the discus, throwing the platter 88’1″.

Emmetsburg’s 4×800 relay took fourth place with a 12:00.74 clocking and the Distance Medley relay finished fourth with its time of 4:52.18.

Rachel Ruddy earned fifth place honors in the 100 meter dash with a time of :14.68, while Jacque Carlson was fifth in the discus with a throw of 86’3″ and Taylor Reimer earned fifth place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:48.12.

Tara Harris would finish the 1500 meter run in 5:59.43 to finish sixth, while Mikki Mundus earned a pair of sixth place finishes, starting with the 100 meter dash, where she was clocked in :14.78, and in the 200 meter dash, where she turned in a time of :30.79.

Rachel Ruddy would finish seventh in the long jump with a leap of 14’7.5″, while Maura Soukup earned eighth place in the 1500 meter run with a 6:22.57 clocking and Teegan Olson would finish ninth in the shot put, throwing the orb 27′.

The Lady E-Hawks will participate in the Class 2A Regional Track meet this afternoon (Thursday) at Sioux Center.
