Wolverines Run Well At Jon Larsen Relays

ARMSTRONG The Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard earned a fourth place finish in Thursday’s Jon Larsen Relays at Armstrong. Once again, strong finishes in relays helped pace the Wolverines’ showing on a breezy day.

Senior Mitch Bonnstetter once again earned a first place finish in the 100 meter dash with his time of :11.56. The 4×800 relay, comprised of Jesse Zinnel, Jason Zinnel, Nathan Grimm and Aaron Montag, took the first place honors with their time of 8:59.

The Medley Relay group of Jordan Buhs, Logan Streit, Mitch Bonnstetter and Aaron Montag won with a time of 4:55 and the 4×200 relay unit, made up of Davey Jergens, Logan Streit, Jordan Buhs and Mitch Bonnstetter, captured first place honors with a time of 1:38.4.

Dustin Johnson captured second place in the 400 meter hurdles with his 1:02 clocking and the 4×100 relay, with Colin Thatcher, Logan Streit, Jordan Buhs and Mitch Bonnstetter, turned in a :47.6 clocking for a second place finish.

The Wolverines’ Shuttle Hurdle Relay finished third, as Collin Thatcher, Dustin Johnson, Davey Jergens and Sean Riesenberg were clocked at 1:09, and Jesse Zinnel finished the 1600 meter run in 5:04 to place third. Zinnel would earn fourth place in the 800 meter run with a 2:14 effort and the 4×400 relay, Nathan Grimm, Dustin Johnson, Collin Thatcher and Aaron Montag, placed fourth with a 3:45 time.

Jordan Bush would finish fifth in the 100 meter dash with a :12.0 clocking and Davey Jergens finished fifth in the 200 meter dash with his :25.12 effort. In the 3200 meter run,

Jack Fehr finished with a time of 11:58 to earn a sixth place finish, while Sean Riesenberg ran the 110 high hurdles in :18.3 for a sixth place finish and the 400 low hurdles in a time of 1:08 for a sixth place finish.
