Wolverines Place Second At Maverick Relays
WEST?BEND – The Wolverines of West Bend-Mallard/Gilmore City-Bradgate finished second at the Clay Central-Everly Maverick Relays on Tuesday, April 3.
Mitch Bonnstetter took first place in the 100 meter dash with an :11.4 clocking and then won the 200 meter dash in a time of :24.0.
The 4×800 relay, with Nat Grimm, Jason Zinnel, Jack Fehr and Aaron Montag, won with a time of 9:12, while the 4×200 relay ,with Jordan Buhs, Collin Thatcher, Nat Grimm and Davey Jergens, also won with a 1:41 effort.
The 4×100 quartet of Thatcher, Jergens, Buhs and Bonnstetter finished first with a :48.3 clocking and the Medley relay of Buhs, Jergens, Bonnstetter and Montag also earned first place with a 4:02. effort.
Jesse Zinnel finished second in the 3200 meter run with an 11:17 time, while Jordan Buhs took second in the 200 dash with a :24.7 clocking. Dustin Johnson was second in the 400 hurdles with a 1:05.3 effort and the 4×400 relay, with Nat Grimm, Johnson, Montag and Thatcher, took second in 3:51.
Jason Zinnel was third in the 800 meter run with a 2:19 and Jesse Zinnel finished the 1600 meters in 5:23, while the Shuttle Hurdle relay, with thatcher, Johnson , Fehr and Sean Riesenberg, took third in 1:12.
Jason Zinnel was fourth in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:27, while Davey Jergens was fifth in the 100 meter dash with a :12.1. Jack Fehr was fifth in the 400 meter dash with a 1:05 clocking, while Sean Riesenberg finished fifth in the 110 high hurdles with a time of :18.5, and then turned around to finish the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 1:05.8 to round out the Wolverines medal placings at the event.
