O’Round The Loch Runs Approaching
Neither snow nor rain nor inclement weather of any type will put up a roadblock for the annual “O’Round the Loch Run” of St. Patrick’s Day in Emmetsburg. The 32nd edition of the annual event is set for Saturday, March 17, as one of the events for the 41st annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration
The annual O’Round The Loch Runs will open Saturday’s activities at 8:30 a.m. The runs will once again feature the traditional events; half-marathon, 10K, 5K and 1.7 mile Fun Run/Walk. The Half-Marathon event, covering 13.1 miles, will get underway at 8:30 a.m. The traditional marathon is also set up for a relay event, so that a team of four runners, with each runner covering 3.275 miles, can run.

At 8:40 a.m., the 10 kilometer, or 6.2-mile race will begin, to be followed by the 5 kilometer, or 3.1-mile race, starting at 9 a.m. The Fun Run/Walk event of 1.7 miles will also start at 9:10 a.m.
