Laker Golfers Shoot Well At DMACC?Fall Invite

The Iowa Lakes Men’s and Women’s golf teams were in action Thursday, Sept. 8 at the DMACC Fall Invitational in Boone.

The Laker Men finished in 3rd place with a team score of 314.

Leading the way for the Lakers was freshman Ben Nath shooting a score of 77 tieing for 8th place.

Zach Woldruff fired a 78 finishing in a tie for 11th place, Ty Asa carded a 79 for a tie for 15th and Josh Ellanson rounded up the team scoring shooting an 80 for a tie in 19th place.

Non counting score was Ryan Stevens shooting an 82.

Individually Marc Vorwald and Ben McCain shot a pair of 81s for a tie in 21st place. Matt Kosbab shot an 83 for 26th place and Lathen Hagestrom-Hasler shot a 92.

On the women’s side. The Laker Woman also finished in 3rd Place with a team score of 391.

Leading the way was Karlee Scheekloth and Taylor Heinrichs with a pair of 94s finishing in a tie for 11th place.

Sierra Hazekamp shot a 99 for 13th place. Taylor Ask rounded out the scoring with a 104 for 15th place.

“Thursday was a great day for golf and from the first meet scores were better. The goal is to get better everyday and every meet and a lot of them did that today. We will continue to keep working hard at practice and gain more and more tournament experience as the fall goes on,” noted ILCC?Coach Andy Soper.
