Booster Club Golf Outing Is Saturday

By Staff | Aug 25, 2011

Despite the wind damage at the Five Island Golf Course, the Emmetsburg E-Hawk Booster Club’s Four-Person Best Shot Golf Outing is still on for this Saturday, Aug. 27.

Anyone who would wish to assist with some final clean up of branches and debris from Monday night’s storm at the golf course is welcomed at any time the rest of the week, according to Course Manager Mike Knight.

The Four-Person Best Shot will get underway at the Five Island Golf Course at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, with a shot-gun start. The tournament will feature a nine-hole format with Rib eye steak meal, grilled by the Palo Alto County Cattlemen at the conclusion along with awards ceremony. Registration will take place at the clubhouse from 9 to 9:30 a.m. The golf outing will pay special honors to the memory of Jack Blake, a long-time E-Hawk Athletics supporter and loyal black and gold fan.

The Board of Directors of the Emmetsburg E-Hawk Athletic Booster club includes Rhonda Kliegl, Julie Elbert, Tony Stubbs, Kathy Jackson, Julie Dunlap and Tammy Naig, along with newly elected members Donna Garrelts, Scott and Kim Kibbie and Jim and Stephanie Bird.
