Myers Tied For 21st Place After First Round Of Girls’ State Golf

ANKENY – The first day of the 2011 Class 2A Girls State Golf Tournament saw Emmetsburg’s Megan Myers locked ina five-way tie for the 21st place in the individual standings. The State meet is being played on the Otter Creek Country Club course, north of Ankeny.

Myers, the lone representative for Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks, carded a round of 43 on her first nine holes on Tuesday, but ran into some difficulty in the second nine, turning in a round of 52 for an 18-hole total of 95 on the par-71 Otter Creek Course.
