Lady E-Hawks Earn Girls County Crown

Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks battled very gusty winds to earn the Girls County Championship Friday over GT/RA?and West Bend-Mallard. Emmetsburg won with a 219, while WBM?carded a 224 and GT/RA?finished with a 257 at the West Bend Country Club.

Hannah Drost took the medal honors with a 49, with West Bend-Mallard’s Mackenzie Banwart earning runner-up honors with her round of 52.

For Emmetsburg, Drost led with a 49, and was followed by Megan Myers with a round of 53. Ashley Pelzer shot a 58 and Paige Naig added a 59, while Aleysha Schutz carded a 60 and Nikki Schany added a 67. For West Bend-Mallard, Mackenzie Banwart led the way with a 52, and was followed by Brooke Banwart with a 54. Sarah Mader and Cassie Gearhart both shot rounds of 59 to cap off the Lady Wolverines’ efforts.

For Graettinger/Terril-Ruthven-Ayrshire, Mackenzie Fay led the effort with a round of 62 and was followed by Kayla Dyer with a 63. Kelly Harris carded a round of 65 and Kendra Feldman shot a 67 to round out the effort.
