Lady E-Hawks Compete Well At Spencer Special

Emmetsburg’s Lady E-Hawks ran Friday at the Spencer Girls Special track meet to get in their second meet in a week’s time after a long layoff due to poor weather.
Emmetsburg collected several first place finishes on the day, starting with Jacque Carlson in the discus with a throw of 79’3″. Whitney Kibbie would take first place in the 100 hurdles with a time of :17.90.
The 4×800 relay would take first place with a time of 11:48.58, while the Distance Medley Relay was first with a time of 5:05.79. The Sprint Medley relay also took first place with a time of 2:05.40 and the 4×400 relay finished first with a time of 4:51.00.
Kaitlin Weisbrod took second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:10.57 and Tayler Bruns was second in the 1500 meter run with a time of 6:18.23, The 4×200 relay would also earn second place honors with a time of 2:01.13.
Hillary Pico took third place in the shot put, throwing 30’6″, while Rachel Ruddy finished third in the long jump with a leap of 13’5″. Hadley Egland took third place in the 100 hurdles with a time of :18.24 and Shelby Brindley finished third in the 800 meter run with her time of 2:51.37.
Teegan Olson earned fourth place in the shot put, throwing 30′.25″ and Kaity Degen earned fourth in the long jump with her leap of 13’3.5″.
Hannah Priest came away with fourth place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:52.86 and the 4×100 relay finished fourth with a time of 59.97.
Madison Reimer would finish in fifth place in the 100 meter dash with a time of :15.25 and Kendall Deitering rounded out the finishes for the Lady E-Hawks with a sixth place finish in the 100 meter dash and time of :15.71.
The Lady E-Hawks will run in Spirit Lake tonight (Tuesday) and then host their own Lady E-Hawk Invitational this Thursday afternoon at the Emmetsburg High School athletic complex starting at 5 p.m.
