CHEROKEE – A pair of Graettinger/Terril wrestlers took to the mats a final time Friday night for the 2011 Northwest Iowa Wrestling Coacheas and Officials Association Senior All Star Wrestling Meet. The event was held at Washington High School in Cherokee.

Ryan Schany and Nate Howard represented the Knights of Graettinger/Terril in the event, which saw 20 matches wrestled.

Ryan Schany would wrestle twice on the evening, first meeting Steven Brockshus of Sibley-Ocheyedan. Schany would end up losing a 21-5 Technical Fall in 5:42 ot the match to the Sibley-Ocheyedan wrestler.

In his second match of the night, Schany met Tyler Kenny of Ridge View and earned a 6-2 decision victory in that match.

Nate Howard wrestled Dalton Peterson of Woodbine in his first match of the evening and earned a 4-0 decision victory. In the final match of the dual, Howard was matched up against Blaize Cabell of Independence. The two grapplers battled back and forth until with time running out, Cabell was able to score a takedown at the edge of the circle to earn a 6-4 decision win over Howard.
