The Palo Alto County Pheasants Forever Chapter will be hosting its 26th Annual banquet this Saturday evening, March 12 at the Emmetsburg VFW. Committee members have been finding an un-believable amount of support from the communities in Palo Alto County, as well as retailers, hunters, and non-hunters. The entire Palo Alto County area should be proud of their support for their Pheasants Forever Chapter.

During the banquet there will be several raffles with numerous prizes. The annual fundraiser will consist of the traditional auction, as well as silent auctions, games and raffles along with the meal. A handmade quilt, furniture items and other donated merchandise will be featured at the event as auction items.

Perhaps the biggest prize of the event this year will be none other than a Royal Caribbean CRUISE!!! Yes, a cruise!!!

The winners will depart Tampa, FL traveling the seas for six days and five nights with stops in Costa Maya and Cozumel. Tickets for the Cruise are limited, which increases the odds in being the lucky winner of this outstanding prize.

The evening will start out with the social hour and then move into the catered meal by Sandan’s Catering of Graettinger. Sandy and Danny will prepare another of their fantastic meals for the attendees to get them in the mood for a live auction that will feature countless art works, including the 2011 Pheasants Forever print, “Dream Bucks III”, by Iowa artist Larry Zach.

“We were just able to obtain this print because it has just been released,”?noted Darrin Adams of the PF Committee. “This is the third print in the Dream Bucks series and we are very excited to be able to offer it on the live auction.”

Pheasants Forever works throughout the year to support conservation and preservation efforts locally for not only pheasants, but other upland game birds and wildlife as well.

“We are looking forward to a night where everyone goes home a winner especially the Palo Alto County wildlife and our youth,” Adams noted. “We’ve enjoyed such great support in past years and from all indications, this year’s banquet should be another great evening. That wouldn’t be possible with out everyone’s support, and we issue a huge Thank You to everyone for their continued support of Pheasants Forever.”
