By Staff | Dec 9, 2010

GRAETTINGER – A trip to Everly wasn’t favorable for the Graettinger/Terril Knight ladies Tuesday night as they came up short in a 72-44 loss to Clay Central-Everly. The loss leaves Graettinger/Terill still searching for their first win of the young season as they drop to 0-2 overall.

The Knights struggled to get their offense going on Tuesday, scoring just three points in the first quarter, while CC-E?took a 16-3 lead. G/T managed to get things on track in the second quarter, cutting the Mavericks’ lead to 27-22 at the break, but struggled in the third to trail 51-30 before falling by the 72-44 final.

Tiffany Harris led the effort with 16 points, while Mariah Girres added nine tallies. Hailley Nelson scored six points, with Brooke Hoffman and Morgan Matthews both adding five points and Maddy Schany scoring three points.

“I?felt the score was not an indication of our overall game,”?noted Head Coach Roger Conway. “The girls showed nice improvement and they played hard and hustled the entire game.”
